Product Description

The ifm AC1356 ControllerE is an industrial AS-Interface PROFIBUS DP gateway with integrated PLC functionality, designed for decentralized automation and reliable communication between AS-i field devices and higher-level PLC/control systems. The AC1356 features two integrated AS-i Masters and supports AS-Interface networks while providing a PROFIBUS DP slave interface for communication with a supervisory PLC or automation controller. It also includes an Ethernet interface for programming, operation and visualization, with Modbus TCP functionality. Its integrated PLC provides 128 kword program memory and supports IEC 61131-3 programming languages including Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Instruction List (IL), Structured Text (ST) and Sequential Function Chart (SFC). The unit also provides a graphic display and diagnostic functions for convenient commissioning and monitoring. The AC1356 is suitable for industrial control panels, machine automation, decentralized I/O systems, AS-i networks and applications requiring AS-Interface to PROFIBUS DP communication with integrated PLC control.
